The Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Adjuster in the UK to work for CSI-P&C Liability team as an Associate Director, providing technical advice regarding a variety of liability matters. Important in this role, will be assisting with business development and marketing our technical services to insurers/clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instructing surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists, forensic accountants, and other experts as necessary
  • Maintaining technical standards.
  • Marketing where necessary.
  • Maintaining customer relationships and feedback.
  • Conduct post and pre-loss inspections and report on the findings as required.
  • Perform consultancy as per business requirements.
  • Audits on site and at client offices as required.
  • Carrying out desktop reviews.
  • Providing technical advice when asked.
  • Produce well-written reports as requested.
  • Attending casualties wherever in the world they may occur at short notice.
  • Preparing technical publications and other Technical Services related marketing material.
  • Delivering training, forums, and seminars regarding technical matters.
  • Demonstrate and role model the Charles Taylor Values by ensuring a Supportive Environment, upholding Excellence in People, focusing on Partnership with Clients, delivering High-quality Work, promoting Group-wide Entrepreneurship, and having an Appetite for Change.

Ad Hoc Duties

Your key accountabilities will include such other duties and tasks as allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Key Skills

  • Hold a certificate of competency and/or equivalent qualification or relevant Liability experience.
  • Experience of working in the industry.
  • Investigation and negotiation skills.
  • People-management skills.
  • Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and other written communication.
  • Good IT skills in Excel, MS Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel (internationally).
  • Workload management skills.
