Associate Director of Procurement
We are supporting an NHS organisation seeking a Band 8d Procurement Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity to provide strategic leadership responsible for shaping and delivering the procurement, supply chain and commercial strategy across multiple hospital sites and the wider Integrated Care System.
You will drive innovation, transformation and value creation, ensuring procurement is recognised as a high-performing, commercially focused function that delivers measurable efficiencies, sustainable savings and improved patient outcomes.
Location: Surrey (2/3 days on site)

Salary: £96,626 | Band 8d
Duration: 12 months
Essential Experience & Expertise
- Provide strategic leadership of Procurement and Supply Chain services across complex organisations
- Deliver large-scale procurement savings, cost improvement and efficiency programmes
- Lead category management, contracting, supply chain and logistics functions
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to organisational, ICS and national NHS priorities
- Drive procurement transformation programmes, including digital adoption, automation and analytics
- Ensure robust governance, compliance and value for money across all procurement activities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders across the Trust, ICS and external partners

About You
We are seeking a highly credible procurement professional with a proven track record of leading large-scale procurement and commercial functions within complex organisations.
You will bring:
- NHS and Public sector experience
- NHS senior management experience
- MCIPS qualification and/or postgraduate management qualification
- PRINCE2 qualification
- Experience with Bravo eTendering and Tableau
