Associate Director – Edinburgh Project Controls Team

About the Role

We are recruiting an Associate Director within our Edinburgh Project Controls Team. This role demands proven infrastructure experience to lead major programmes in Scotland.

Job Objectives

  • Deliver Project Controls across major programmes in Scotland
  • Lead the programme controls function, ensuring accuracy and consistency in:
    • Plans
    • Costs
    • Safety
    • Environment
    • Performance reporting
    • Efficient deployment of controls team resources
  • Business development
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Reviewing new project proposals/remits to develop realistic, resourced plans
    • Identifying resourcing requirements and resolving issues with planning functions
    • Delivering daily reporting on:
      • Plans
      • Costs
      • Safety
      • Environment
      • Performance metrics (to Programme/Project Managers)
    • Ensuring data standards for cost and performance systems are met via input by project teams
    • Managing Investment Plan production while adhering to the Investment Competence Framework

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in:
    • Performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning/scheduling functions (schedule development, control, analysis in both field and office)
    • Experience within the infrastructure sector
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in:
    • General PC operating systems and basic software (Microsoft Office Applications)
    • Discipline-specific tools, including:
      • Primavera (P6)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • Engineering*)
    • Procurement*)
    • Contracts*)
    • Construction*)
    • Start-up work processes*)
