Associate Director – Project Management
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Outstanding Benefits
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director – Project Management to join one of the UK's leading healthcare consultancies. Based in Birmingham, this role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex healthcare capital projects while helping to grow an established Project Management team. You'll work closely with key public and private sector clients, delivering projects that make a genuine difference to healthcare environments and patient outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Project Management professional looking to step into a senior leadership position with genuine influence over project delivery, client relationships, and business growth.
The Role
As an Associate Director, you'll be responsible for leading the successful delivery of major healthcare capital projects and programmes across the full project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading complex healthcare construction and capital projects from inception through to completion.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic Project Management expertise.
- Building and developing long-term client relationships.
- Supporting business development activities, bids, and tender submissions.
- Identifying opportunities for repeat business and helping to grow the Project Management service.
- Mentoring and developing Project Managers within the Birmingham team.
- Leading project governance, programme reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Project Management professional with:
- A consultancy background delivering construction or healthcare projects.
- Significant experience managing complex capital projects from feasibility through to completion.
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing experience.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and supporting business growth.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Ideally, you'll hold one or more of the following:
- MRICS
- MCIOB
- APM / ChPP
- RIBA
- CEng (or equivalent)
Experience working with NEC and JCT contracts is highly desirable, with NEC accreditation viewed favourably.
