The Opportunity:

We are looking for an ambitious Associate Director who wants exposure to interesting and challenging projects, ready to move beyond solely focusing on project delivery to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of a growing consultancy.

This role is ideal for someone who is currently an Associate Director, or a strong and driven Senior Project Manager who is ready to move beyond simply managing large projects and wants to help grow a team, develop client relationships, contribute to business decisions and influence the direction of the business.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will have genuine visibility, autonomy and influence whilst continuing to deliver a diverse portfolio of exciting projects including:

  • Grade I & II listed buildings refurbishment works
  • High-rise residential cladding remediation and building safety improvement programmes in occupied buildings
  • Film Studios and Production Facilities
  • Office/Commercial Fitout
  • Student Accommodation
  • Mixed-use redevelopments

For the right individual, this role offers the opportunity to help build a business rather than simply work within one.

Purpose of the Role

As an Associate Director in the Watts Project Management and Cost Management Team, you will play a key role in our success and growth of the team and business. The role involves project delivery, client account management, business development and team growth responsibilities. You will lead large commissions, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to the continued development of both the team and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead major projects and programmes, ensuring successful delivery against cost, quality and programme objectives.
  • Manage commissions with minimal Director input, providing strategic oversight, governance and risk management.
  • Proactively protect clients' commercial interests whilst managing project budgets, resources and programme requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project and service delivery risks at the earliest opportunity.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders, whilst supporting colleagues on larger or more complex commissions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
