The Complex & International Restructuring ("CII") team in London is looking for an Associate Director to join its market-leading practice.
This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the UK's largest businesses, leading brands, major institutions, and high-profile companies, advising on high profile "Big ticket" complex, international restructuring engagements including, formal insolvency appointments, a suite of restructuring advisory mandates, and contingency planning assignments across large, multi-jurisdictional situations.
Working within an experienced and highly respected team at Interpath, you will help lead and support a diverse mix of stakeholders on dynamic, fast-moving assignments gaining a broad range of domestic & international experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to engagement teams of 3-6 people, supporting senior colleagues across a broad range of insolvency and restructuring advisory assignments, including contingency planning, options analysis, cash & liquidity reviews, and Restructuring Plans
- Assess business performance identifying restructuring options and developing practical and innovative solutions for businesses and stakeholders, including formal insolvency options where relevant
- Undertake detailed financial and commercial analysis to support clear, detailed client advice
- Lead and manage engagements to scope, timeline, quality, and budget, in line with Interpath's engagement management standards
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior management, mid-level executives, lawyers, banks, and other lenders
- Act as the day-to-day client lead on relevant assignments, reporting back to engagement leaders and senior Interpath stakeholders
- Support business development and new product development initiatives
- Coach and develop junior team members on assignments

Requirements
Education and Experience Required
- 7-10 years' experience in restructuring advisory and formal insolvency appointments, including (Special) Administrations
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) and CPI or JIEB qualified
- Proven track record managing corporate insolvency appointments and delivering restructuring advisory work
- Experience leading workstreams and managing teams of junior staff on insolvency engagements
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a detail-focused mindset
- Strong commercial judgement and business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts
- Confident stakeholder management with clients, lenders, and advisors at all levels, including in challenging situations
- Strong relationship-building ability with an established external network and interest in business development
- Proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to delegate effectively and develop junior team members
