職位描述

Start Here. Grow Here.

Are you ready to join a team of talented and innovative engineers within our UK Transmission & Distribution business and grow your career? Our Transmission & Distribution team delivers HV (High Voltage) design for electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels. This role focuses on primary plant design for large-scale infrastructure, grid connections, and private networks (voltage levels typically between 132 kV to 400kV). Typical projects include feasibility and concept studies, optioneering, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed design, and design assurance, affecting existing or new substations and infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead substation technical discussions with clients and internal multi-disciplinary teams to establish project scopes, define interfaces, and ensure delivery.
  • Technical Lead: Agree on design approaches with engineering teams, support scope clarification, monitor progress, and quality-check deliverables before client issuance.
  • Apply substation design asset life-cycle expertise to successfully deliver client projects; cross-functional at concept, Feasibility, FEED, and detailed design stages.
  • Liaise with the project management team to develop ** resourcing forecasts and project programs**.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness to develop project proposals, monitor/manage costs, and identify opportunities.
  • Drive client relationships by understanding client requirements, building trust, and adopting a client-centric project mindset.
  • Promote safety-in-design in projects.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff to build team capability and capacity over the medium and long term.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
