** The Opportunity**
To sustainably grow as a business, we seek an experienced Senior Consultant to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
We’re looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in:
- Working within multi-disciplinary teams to secure consents and approvals under:
- Town and Country Planning Act 1990
- Planning Act 2008
- Transport and Works Act Orders
- and approvals via:
- Planning (Wales) Act 2015
- Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act
- Electricity Act

** What We’ll Be Looking For**
Candidates must clearly demonstrate the following:
- Leadership in providing town planning and consenting inputs for major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc).
- Strong technical leadership for clients, managing consenting requirements and fully aligning with their expectations and needs.
- Coordination in preparing and submitting consent applications, including applications under:
- Town and Country Planning Acts
- Planning Act 2008
- Other relevant regimes mentioned above.
- Acting as Project Director for projects under the Infrastructure Planning team.
- Appointing as Planning Expert Witness in DCO examinations, hearings, or inquiries.
- Leading negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
- Strong financial awareness and project management experience, ideally within a consultancy setting.
- Line management/mentoring colleagues, fostering support in their work and project delivery.
- A degree-level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
- RTPI membership.
