Associate Director - Transaction Services
A leading professional services firm is looking to hire an Associate Director into its Transaction Services team, based in either Reading, Manchester, Leeds, or Birmingham. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded deals practice working across buy-side and sell-side transactions. The team supports corporate and private equity clients through the full transaction lifecycle, combining financial rigour with commercial insight to deliver clear, impactful advice.
The Role
You will lead financial due diligence engagements, reporting directly to the Partner and taking ownership of fieldwork, analysis, and final report delivery.
- Working closely with clients, target businesses, and other professional advisors, you will direct financial analysis on target businesses and oversee the preparation of high-quality, issues-focused due diligence reports.
- You will lead fieldwork teams across engagements, maintaining quality and pace while meeting tight transaction deadlines.

Alongside client delivery, you will contribute to new business generation and the continued growth of the practice, playing an integral role in the team's ambitious expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence engagements on both buy-side and sell-side transactions, reporting directly to the Partner.
- Prepare and review high-quality, issues-focused diligence reports with clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Liaise with clients, target businesses, and professional advisors throughout the execution of transactions.
- Lead and develop fieldwork teams across engagements.
- Contribute to business development and new business generation activity.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent).
- Solid Transaction Services or Financial Due Diligence experience with a strong understanding of deal mechanics.
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify key commercial issues.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, critical thinker with a genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate.
- Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.
