Associate Director: Building Surveying | Kent & London
Hybrid Working and Genuine Flexibility | Bonus Scheme | Autonomy
A Business at a Turning Point
This independent consultancy has quietly built an outstanding reputation across London and the South East. Their clients return time and time again. Property managers trust them implicitly. Instructions keep arriving. Recent projects have included landmark commercial buildings in Central London, alongside a varied portfolio of residential work. Project values of up to £3m, with a healthy mix of professional services and project-led work.
The Missing Piece
The practice is looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor who enjoys variety, acts with urgency and takes pride in delivering a high-quality service. Someone who doesn't want to spend their career confined to a single service line. In many businesses, progression is promised. Here, it's part of the business plan.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A Different Kind of Culture
The company has retained the flexibility and trust that often disappears as businesses grow. Life comes first. School runs. Family commitments. Appointments. Personal priorities. They understand people have lives outside work and believe flexibility should actually mean flexibility.
Learning From People Who've Been There
Work in a company offering the exposure that many surveyors never receive within larger corporate structures.
