Associate Director/Director, Business Relationship Management (BRM) Financial Institutions (FI) Group EMEA
Fitch Ratings’ FI BRM team is currently seeking an Associate Director or Director based out of our London Canary Wharf office.
This exciting role is based within the Financial Institutions (FI) Business Relationship Management (“BRM”) group in London, reporting to the EMEA head of Non-Bank Financial Institutions. The principal objective of the team is to originate new rating mandates and to manage and expand relationships with NBFI issuers and other market participants. NBFI is a diverse and rapidly growing sector spanning finance & leasing companies, investment managers, financial infrastructure companies and securities firms, among others.

We’ll Count On You To
- Support the team in new mandate generation, initially with a focus on the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, but also as part of the broader EMEA effort.
- Analyze the market to identify new prospects and proactively interact with new issuers and other internal and external stakeholders in all stages of the onboarding process.
- Develop persuasive pitchbooks and business development materials as well as generate new ideas for marketing to support outreach efforts.
- Organize and conduct client and other external meetings and prepare background information.
- Work on wider EMEA FI team projects for business development.
- Represent Fitch at industry events and conferences.
- Build relationships and expand your network of capital markets professionals.
- Use the Customer Relationship Management system (SalesForce) to record outreach activity, manage opportunities, create agreements and manage renewals.
- Be organized, detail-oriented, punctual with tasks, enthusiastic, and proactive with a high level of initiative and an ability to conduct a variety of tasks simultaneously.

What You Need To Have
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) alongside great attention to detail, an ability to build business relationships and work independently.
- Strong technical command of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must be a team player with a good work ethic and a curious mindset.
- University degree, preferably in a finance-related field.
What Would Make You Stand Out
- A background and experience in either financial services, banking, debt capital markets, corporate finance or a Credit Ratings Agency environment.
- Experience in and familiarity with the NBFI sector, financial institutions or corporates (Levfin and/or IG).
- Proven trajectory of working with clients and the debt-capital markets community, with the capability to proactively coordinate with external / internal parties.
- Experience with SalesForce (or other Customer Relationship Management systems) and financial data and analytics platforms including Bloomberg and FactSet.
- Strong command of other languages, including French, German, Nordics, Turkish and others.
- Other professional or business qualifications (CFA, relevant Master’s degree).
- Experience leveraging AI solutions to drive business outcomes.
