About the Role
We are currently looking to hire an Associate EDD Analyst within the ABS sector as part of our Alpha line of business. This role plays a crucial part in protecting the organisation from money laundering and broader financial crime risks by conducting enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews on high-risk clients and scenarios.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive reviews of high-risk client accounts, evaluating the risks posed and ensuring adherence to procedural, policy and regulatory requirements.
- Handling complex cases and assessing escalations from 1st Line (and escalating further where required), including:
- Adverse media
- Politically exposed persons (PEPs)
- State-owned enterprises (SOEs)
- Risk appetite deviations
- Policy exceptions/deviations
- **Anti-Money Laundering (AML) letters
- Providing EDD guidance to 1st Line, Client Service, and Sales teams, with support from an Analyst/Senior Team Leader.
- Contributing (with support) to the wider compliance framework, including the development of internal processes and procedures.
- Conducting analysis to gain a deep command of alternative investment structures, becoming adept in various client types, such as:
- Corporate entities
- Trusts
- Funds
- Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs)
- Ensuring work meets the highest standards of quality and adherence to policies, while actively engaging with performance review processes.
- Mastering various compliance platforms, screening tools, and systems to optimise workflow efficiency.
- Responding to queries from business units promptly and efficiently.

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- A proactive mindset, committed to continuously improving processes and outputs.
- An ambitious individual keen to develop expertise, embracing pressure and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring meticulous adherence to Alpha’s high-quality standards.
- Interest in compliance, know your customer (KYC), and anti-money laundering regulations; 1–2 years of AML/KYC experience preferred, though not mandatory.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
