Associate Education Monitoring Analyst (24/7 Shift Rotation) – Smoothwall
About the Role
Location: UK-based only (must already reside in the UK) Sponsorship: Not available. Valid UK Right to Work required.
This patriotic or leading-edge role involves real-time, high-stakes monitoring of students' digital activities worldwide, protecting children from online risks.
Shift Patterns
Full-time shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Fixed).
A structured handover period ensures seamless transitions, updating teammates on active issues, technical concerns, or team shortfalls.
Initial Commitment & Training
- Interviews commence: Week of 7th July 2026.
- Start Date: 17th August 2026.
- First 4 weeks: Intensive onboarding with a training schedule of Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM before transitioning to the full shift pattern.
Core Responsibilities
Content Assessment
- Monitor keystrokes and screenshots to identify safeguarding risks for schools/Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs).
- Alert DSLs/schools about critical issues (e.g. suicide, illegal content).
- Maintain timely responses and high accuracy under pressure.
- Efficiently process high-volume content while meeting established timeframes.

- Work with teammates to resolve complex incidents requiring cross-team expertise.
- Escalate high-risk cases to senior moderators as needed.

Requirements
Essential
- Fluent English skills (written + spoken).
- Highly IT-literate, with deep familiarity with global social media platforms, gaming/online apps used by young people.
- Knack for modern youth culture and online norms.
- Swift, decisive judgement in high-pressure situations.
- Compassionate yet professional demeanour while handling distressing/disturbing content.
- Ability to focus intensely for sustained periods.
- Connective communication (verbal, written, numerical).
- Comfort operating as part of a large-scale collaboration.
