The Role
Post: Experienced Electrical Designer (Principal/Associate level)
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and coordination of building services projects
- Manage end-to-end project delivery:
- Feasibility through to detailed design and on-site implementation
- Oversee electrical calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings
- Technical leadership & mentorship:
- Guide and develop engineers within the team
- Represent the consultancy professionally in client meetings
- Project delivery & commercial involvement:
- Ensure on-time, on-budget, high-standard delivery
- Contribute to commercial activities

- Team Collaboration:
- Work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Practical experience: Extensive background in a building services consultancy
- Technical expertise: Deep knowledge of electrical building services systems
- Project leadership: Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships
- Software skills: Proficiency in tools like Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, or similar
- Soft skills: Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Education: Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- Professional status: Chartered (CIBSE/IET) or actively working towards chartship is desirable
