A leading international engineering and sustainability consultancy is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join its growing Building Services team in Manchester. The Opportunity
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative building services solutions across a diverse range of projects. You'll lead electrical design packages, manage project delivery, mentor junior engineers, and build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. As well, this role will suit an Associate who has an appetite to develop their business development skills.
The team works across a broad range of sectors, including commercial and residential projects, and offers the opportunity to contribute to prestigious UK and international projects, providing excellent exposure for ambitious engineers looking to develop their technical and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical building services design on a variety of MEP projects
- Take ownership of project delivery from concept through to completion
- Review detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports
- Coordinate and supervise the work of engineers and technicians
- Support and mentor junior members of the team
- Manage project programmes, resources, and budgets where required
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams
- Contribute to the adoption of digital and parametric design approaches
About You
To be considered, you should have:
- Proven experience within Electrical Building Services Design
- A relevant degree or HNC/HND qualification
- Membership of a recognised professional body (or working towards chartership)
- Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Strong technical design capabilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
- Experience using industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, DIALux, Amtech, Trimble, and Revit
- An interest in digital engineering, BIM, and emerging design technologies
