Associate (Engineering and Hard FM)

Our client is looking to recruit an Associate (Engineering and Hard FM) on a full time, permanent contract basis. This role is home based, with regular UK travel to site required.

This role requires an experienced technical professional who will support the delivery of compliance and advisory services to healthcare, education, custodial and other clients, providing expertise in engineering compliance, building services, asset management, maintenance reviews and risk management.

The successful candidate will primarily focus on technical delivery, with some responsibility for managing projects and developing business opportunities, and will have a background in building services engineering, with experience in estates management, hard FM compliance, PFI/PPP projects and healthcare estates being advantageous.

Associate (Engineering and Hard FM) Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consultancy services that support business objectives, generate revenue, and establish our client as a leading engineering and technical compliance advisor.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, helping to grow the client portfolio while ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
  • Collaborate with commission leads and colleagues to deliver high-quality project outputs on time and in line with client requirements.
  • Provide expertise in compliance, asset management and Hard FM matters, with a particular focus on electrical services and estates compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and develop strong networks across our client, the wider Group, NHS and other client organisations to promote engineering, compliance and asset management excellence.

Associate (Engineering and Hard FM) Requirements:

  • Educated to HND level or equivalent, with a recognised engineering qualification in a building services discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in building services engineering, engineering consultancy, and Hard FM compliance.
  • Strong operational Hard FM knowledge with the ability to provide practical technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with NHS and non-NHS clients, promoting engineering compliance excellence.
  • Skilled in producing clear, concise technical reports and recommendations, with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, process management, IT, and data analysis skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a flexible environment.
  • Home-based role requiring regular travel to client and office locations across the UK, with a full UK driving licence essential.
  • Successful DBS check.
