Manage a pan-European real estate debt portfolio at one of the market's leading investment platforms.
We're exclusively partnering with a highly regarded real estate debt investor seeking an Associate to join its London-based Portfolio Management team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of UK and European commercial real estate loans, working across performing investments, borrower engagement, credit analysis, restructurings and strategic portfolio decisions.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals and gain exposure to complex lending structures, institutional-quality assets and some of the most sophisticated real estate debt transactions in the market.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the portfolio management team, you'll oversee commercial real estate investment and development loans from closing through to repayment, ensuring both operational excellence and proactive risk management.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of UK and European commercial real estate debt investments.
- Acting as a key relationship contact for borrowers, lending syndicates, facility agents and advisers.
- Monitoring asset and credit performance, covenant compliance and ongoing borrower obligations.
- Assessing and making recommendations on amendments, waivers, restructurings and refinancing proposals.
- Performing cashflow analysis and waterfall modelling to evaluate loan performance and downside risk.
- Leading execution of major portfolio events including drawdowns, repayments, extensions and refinancings.
- Reviewing legal documentation and transaction structures to ensure compliance with facility terms.
- Preparing investment and credit recommendations for senior management and investment committees.
- Working alongside investment, legal and asset management teams to optimise portfolio performance and protect lender value.

Who We're Looking For
We're interested in professionals who combine strong analytical capability with commercial judgement and relationship management skills.
Typical backgrounds may include:
- Real estate debt portfolio management
- CRE loan asset management
- Loan agency
- Structured finance or loan servicing
- Real estate banking
- Alternative credit or debt fund portfolio management

You'll likely have:
- Experience managing or overseeing commercial real estate loans.
- Strong understanding of loan documentation, covenants, borrower reporting and facility management.
- Experience analysing complex real estate debt structures and cashflows.
- Exposure to investment and development lending transactions.
- Fluent German language skills (preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or a related discipline.
