Associate, Family Law, Dual Qualified
Location: We encourage applications from candidates who are able to work from our Edinburgh office; however, location and working arrangements may be flexible and open for discussion.
Summary of Role
To provide excellent legal advice and client service within a supportive and ambitious team, ranked Band 2 in Chambers legal directory, and undertake high-quality and challenging cases within England, Scotland, and cross-border. The individual will act as an ambassador for the firm, further developing a strong and established English Family Law practice covering financial and child matters.
Key Tasks
- Build and maintain long-lasting client and agent relationships
- Manage and develop direct reports, while supporting other team members with legal queries
- Manage workload competently, professionally, efficiently, and cost-effectively with minimal supervision to meet firm and client objectives
- Be proactive in the financial control of all own and team matters, including accurate time recording and prompt fee management
- Contribute constructively to the work of other team members/teams within the Private Client Division
- Contribute to organising and delivering technical training within the division

Qualifications and Experience
- 4+ years’ PQE (Post-Qualification Experience)
- Dual Qualified (England and Wales and Scotland)

- Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously with own initiative
- Personable and skilled in building and developing strong client relationships
- Strong confidence with a belief in personal ability
