As an Associate in Financial Institutions Sponsor Coverage, you’ll play a key role in expanding business with global financial sponsors, shaping strategic approaches, and driving value for both clients and the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior colleagues on client relationship management initiatives and execute fund-level financing opportunities.
- Engage deeply with multiple product teams, including Fund Finance, Project Finance, FX & Rates, to originate new business transactions.
- Produce detailed relationship overviews and account plans for key clients to inform strategic decision-making.
- Review transaction documentation to ensure accuracy in client communications.
- Understand client needs to support innovative product development and suggest tailored solutions.
- Work with internal stakeholders (Credit, Legal, KYC, Operations) to secure complex multi-jurisdictional relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and shape future strategies.
- Build cross-departmental networks to enhance collaboration and teamwork.
- Lead internal meetings to demonstrate analytical and communication strengths.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes to ensure compliance within a dynamic financial sector.

What You’ll Bring
Essential
- Solid commercial experience in FIG sponsor coverage, fund finance, or investment banking/global markets.
- Senior degree in Finance or Economics (or equivalent qualifications/experience).
- Strong interpersonal skills for thriving in a diverse, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (for presentations) and Excel (for data analysis).
Desirable but Not Mandatory
- Exposure to Financial Sponsors/Funds or Non-bank Financial Institutions.
- Familiarity with alternative asset management and related fund-level products:
- Subscription Facilities
- Sponsor FX
- NAV lending
- Knowledge of undergraduate degrees in Finance, Finance and Economics, or Economics.
- CFA qualification is a bonus.
