With a purpose-driven culture, we thrive in the ever-changing legal landscape by empowering our people and clients to ** succeed and grow**.

We are ambitious for our clients, our communities—and for you. Whether you’re starting your career or at an advanced stage, whether you’re a lawyer or work in business services, we offer a dynamic environment where the next steps excite us as much as they do you.

About the Role

As a lawyer at Eversheds Sutherland, you’ll enjoy diverse work—spanning regional and international projects—while fostering a global mindset. Collaboration and innovation are encouraged, with ongoing opportunities to take on new challenges and advance legal practice.

Our Authorised Funds Team is a market leader—ranked Tier 1 for retail funds in London by The Legal 500 and featured as a "leading UK funds practice". We are trusted advisors for all types of fund service providers, with a particular strength in open-ended funds. We’ve been centres of excellence in regulatory and tax interpretation, product innovation, and compliance for decades.

Team Focus Areas

We specialise in:

  • UCITS and non-UCITS retail schemes (NURS), OEICs, authorised unit trusts
  • Property Authorised Investment Funds (PAIFs)
  • Authority Contractual Schemes (ACS) & Charity Authorised Investment Funds
  • Launching Long-Term Asset Funds (LTAFs), SDR labels, and OFR recognition
  • Fund structuring, tax, regulatory compliance, investment strategies, asset transfers
  • Regulatory support for asset managers and depositary banks

You’ll be part of a proactive, technology-forward team, actively embedding AI and innovation into legal practice. In 2026, we’ve launched our "Year of AI" initiative, collaborating with Harvey (our GenAI legal assistant) and expanding tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot & Lexis Protégé to streamline legal research, drafting, and document analysis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
