Associate Frontend Developer
We are looking for an Associate Frontend Developer to support our work with a London based investment firm. This role focuses on building clear, functional interfaces that help leadership teams better visualize their internal data and decision processes. It is a full time, fully remote position designed for someone starting their professional career in web development who prefers practical coding over complex corporate structures.
About the Role
Olive Tree Consulting helps companies reduce organizational friction. Sometimes the best way to do that is through a custom dashboard or a clean internal tool that replaces a messy spreadsheet. As an Associate Frontend Developer, you will help build these interfaces. You will work alongside our consultants to turn operational logic into user friendly web applications. This is not about making things flashy, but about making things usable and clear for the people who lead large organizations. You will help us ensure that the tools we build are as simple to use as they are helpful to the client business.
What You Will Do
- Write clean and maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for client facing tools.
- Build responsive web components that function correctly on various screen sizes and devices.
- Collaborate with the team to turn design prototypes into working code.
- Update and maintain existing internal tools used by our clients to track their management rhythms.
- Test interfaces across different browsers to ensure consistent performance and accessibility.
- Help organize our component library to keep our codebase modular and easy to manage.
- Translate feedback from consultants into practical adjustments to the user interface.
- Participate in code reviews to learn from and support other members of the technical team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Olive Tree
Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems: they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth.
We favor practical changes over large scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
