The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers — and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.

So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!

What we do:

We have a well-established Legal department comprising approximately 65 employees with our Privacy team in particular, having representation across the globe.

This role presents a great opportunity to work on unique privacy issues and contribute to strategic deal negotiations at the forefront of the AdTech industry, in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. You will join our Platform Legal Team: we build and deploy privacy solutions intended to redefine the digital advertising ecosystem and support an open internet, and we set the company's regional legal strategy across the full range of our commercial offerings. You will have genuine ownership and a direct line to the business teams that lead strategic deals for the region.

We are looking for you to take a prominent role in negotiating privacy terms across a wide range of commercial deals in both EMEA and APAC, and advise the business on strategic privacy matters across the regions.

This is a hands-on, negotiation-focused role: working as part of a team of lawyers supporting the region, you will structure and negotiate the privacy terms that make our partnerships work, while also contributing to our broader privacy compliance framework. This role calls for genuine depth in privacy and data protection law, paired with the commercial instinct to turn that expertise into deals that get done.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
