Associate, GIB Industrials
Investment Banking Associate – Industrials Sector
What is the opportunity?
To provide Investment Banking services (including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and leveraged finance) to corporate and private equity clients operating or investing in the Industrials sector.
RBC expects all employees and contractors to work primarily in the office, with flexibility for up to 1 day per week remote work, based on operational needs.
What will you do?
- Assist in the marketing and execution of M&A, equity, and financing transactions in the Industrials sector
- Collaborate closely with local and global teams specialising in sector coverage
- Develop and nurture client relationships with corporates and private equity companies focused on Industrials
- Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies throughout business activities
- Ensure compliance with Firm Policies
- Escalate risk-related incidents promptly to line managers and relevant risk/control functions ↪ Failure to meet this expectation may result in disciplinary action, including termination

What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience
- Degree educated (FCA registered/Approved individual is a requirement)
- Previous investment banking or corporate M&A experience
- In-depth knowledge of Investment Banking services with the ability to apply them creatively for diverse clients
- Strong analytical, research, and valuation judgement (especially in financial strategy/planning)
- Emphasis on sound financial analysis and attention to detail
Nice-to-Have Bonus
- Prior experience in the Industrials or Capital Goods capital markets sub-sector
