Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate level candidate to join our Global Markets Advisory team in our London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven self-starter with up to 1-3 years of experience who is eager to build a career at the intersection of markets and global politics.
This is a dual-sided role based in our London office. Approximately half of the role is focused on team strategy and support across EMEA and beyond, while the other half is dedicated to new business, prospecting, and pipeline development for Eurasia Group's institutional client base.
Responsibilities
Team Support & Strategy
- Coordinate travel budgets and logistics for the Global Markets team, ensuring efficient planning and cost management.
- Produce and maintain high-quality presentations, spreadsheets, and PowerPoints that support team needs and senior leadership decision-making.
- Plan, set up, and provide support for client events and engagements across European, Asian, and Middle Eastern markets.
- Work closely and effectively with analysts, strategy teams, and all pillars of the firm as a value-added partner.
Business Development
- Conduct targeted sales research to identify and expand Eurasia Group's institutional pipeline across a defined EMEA territory, segmenting prospective clients by asset type (Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Investment Banks) and investment strategy to assess alignment with EG's advisory services.
- Design and execute email campaigns and outreach initiatives tailored to specific client sectors and industries, sharing content and insights relevant to each prospect's business and investment process.
- Proactively engage potential clients acting as a credible and enthusiastic ambassador for EG's political risk advisory offering.
- Develop a strong understanding of Eurasia Group's research and advisory products and become fluent in articulating how political risk fits into client investment and risk processes.
- Leverage Eurasia Group's global resources—in-country expertise, sectoral research, market strategy, and geo-economics—to generate solutions-based conversations with institutional investors.
- Support senior team members in building and maintaining strategic account plans and new business pipeline tracking with the aim of progressing to the position of a salesperson, independently managing your own book of business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
