The University is seeking exceptional leaders to apply for a secondment role of Associate Head of Academic Departments to support the Head of Departments in providing academic and operational leadership across all areas of the departments within the College of Creativity, Technology and Society. You will contribute to delivering high-quality teaching, learning, research, knowledge exchange, and student experience by overseeing delegated areas of responsibility and ensuring smooth running of day-to-day activities. You will work collaboratively with the Head of Academic Department, other Associate Head of academic department, academic and professional service colleagues to foster an inclusive and high-performing academic community.

We are seeking twelve Associate Head of Departments for the College (two for each department) in the following areas:

  • Brighton Business School
  • Department of Architecture and Environments
  • Departments of Arts and Design
  • Department of Engineering, Games and Computing
  • Department of Law and Society
  • Department of Media and Creative Technologies.

Please see the attached job description and person specification for full details of the role. This is a 0.5 FTE seconded role, initially for a 3 year period.
