What is the purpose of the Associate Head of Engagement Delivery?

Reporting to the Head of Engagement Delivery, this role leads the planning, delivery, and optimisation of multi-channel engagement and fundraising campaigns.

You'll oversee high-performing campaign delivery squads, ensuring activity is insight-led, audience-focused, and aligned with strategic priorities, while also providing inclusive and effective line management - coaching and developing team members, supporting wellbeing, and building capability and confidence across the team.

You'll Contribute By

  • Leading the operational delivery of integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Forming and managing campaign delivery squads to ensure effective execution.
  • Driving continuous improvement in campaign performance and supporter value.
  • Managing a multi-level team of 8 across Manager, Senior Officer and Officer level roles.

What will I be doing as an Associate Head of Engagement Delivery?

You'll lead a team responsible for delivering campaigns that inspire, engage and generate income, working collaboratively across teams to ensure activity is well-planned, responsive and supporter centric.

Alongside this, you'll provide clear and inclusive line management to your direct reports - coaching and developing individuals, supporting wellbeing, and building capability and confidence across the team.

  • Oversee campaign briefing, scheduling and performance tracking.
  • Lead and allocate campaign delivery squads based on audience insight.
  • Own the development and delivery of key integrated campaigns, ensuring they are strategically aligned, insight-led and effectively delivered across channels (e.g. flagship moments such as Christmas).
  • Monitor campaign performance and embed structured feedback loops to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Engagement and Fundraising to deliver joined-up supporter experiences.
  • Champion delivery standards, processes and best practice.
  • Manage budgets and supplier relationships to ensure quality and return on investment.

What skills do I need to be an Associate Head of Engagement Delivery?

You'll be a strategic and operational leader with experience delivering multi-channel campaigns. You'll bring strong leadership, financial oversight, and a collaborative mindset to drive impact and innovation.

  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns across a range of channels, with strong expertise in warm/loyalty channels such as direct mail, email and telemarketing, alongside broader cold/recruitment experience in digital, print and broadcast channels.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and fundraising best practice.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and optimise campaign performance.
  • Skilled in using data and insight to inform decisions.
  • Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments, able to balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality campaign activity at pace, responding quickly to insight, performance and changing organisational needs.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, building capability, confidence and supporting wellbeing to enable people to perform at their best.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills, including managing external partners such as creative and media agencies and suppliers.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
