About the Role
The post holder will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the School of Medicine. The post holder will support the School’s Operational Programme and lead on programmes of work within the School’s strategy. The post holder will be a member of the School Board.
The post holder will support the School’s commitment to delivering excellent postgraduate training, in a variety of educational environments which promote staff wellbeing, a positive learning culture, and a sense of belonging.
As a result of NHS England's (NHSE) integration into the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), please note that the end date for all new educator appointments will be 31st March 2027. The successful applicant will be updated regarding potential extensions (not guaranteed) beyond this date.
Responsibilities
This Post Will Have Oversight, In Particular, Of
- Training in Internal Medicine Stage 1 programmes
- The work of the Examination Support TPDs and development of training resources for the MRCP(UK) examination
- Courses that prepare HSTs for consultant practice (including leadership)
