Derby College Group (DCG)

Derby College Group (DCG) is seeking a dynamic Associate HR Business Partner to join our high-performing HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a professional, proactive and high-quality HR service, providing specialist advice and support on a broad range of employment matters. You'll work closely with managers and colleagues across the College, while also contributing to HR projects, policy development and the delivery of HR-related training. This is a hybrid role, primarily based across our College sites in line with operational requirements, with some opportunity for home working.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in delivering a proactive, high-quality HR service, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of people matters. Supporting employee relations cases such as absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability, bullying and harassment issues, you'll help ensure fair and consistent outcomes. You'll also contribute to organisational change projects, policy development, HR training and performance initiatives, while advising on employment legislation, terms and conditions, wellbeing and family-friendly policies. This is a varied opportunity to make a real impact while championing an inclusive and positive workplace culture.

About You

You'll be a confident and approachable HR professional with strong employee relations knowledge and a passion for delivering excellent people support. With up-to-date knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation, you'll be comfortable managing a varied workload and building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You'll be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and collaboratively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. A positive, resilient approach, commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) are essential for success in this role.
