LOCATION: London Television Centre – Hybrid
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £52,000 plus £5441 London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We're looking for an HR professional to support the delivery of the People Strategy across our Scripted portfolio, helping to translate people strategy into practical solutions that enable creativity, collaboration, and business success. The role will support BBC Studios Scripted Productions, reporting into Head of HR and working alongside a HR Business Partner. Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
- Act as a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical and commercially focused HR support.
- Build strong relationships across the business and People team to deliver consistent, effective people solutions.
- Support the delivery of culture and engagement initiatives that reinforce the behaviours and expectations set out in The Pledge, promoting respectful, inclusive, and high-performing teams.
- Support cyclical people processes, including talent, performance, reward, and workforce planning activities.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support organisational change and strategic people initiatives, deputising for the HR Business Partner when required.

Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Naturally curious, asking thoughtful questions, and seeking to understand root causes rather than simply addressing symptoms.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, identifying gaps, patterns, and opportunities - using evidence to recommend improvements and drive better outcomes.
- A proactive and self-directed approach, taking ownership of priorities and delivering high-quality work with appropriate support and guidance.
- Comfortable using technology, data, and emerging AI tools to enhance productivity, generate insights, and support informed decision-making.
- Confidence in handling sensitive or challenging conversations with professionalism, empathy, and credibility.
- Able to operate effectively in environments where situations are not always clear, balancing business needs, employee experience, and organisational priorities.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
Desired But Not Required
- Previous exposure to media, broadcasting, television production, or other creative industries.
- Experience working within a shared services or centralised HR model.
- Experience supporting an HR partnering approach and working closely with senior stakeholders.
