Who You’ll Work With
You’ll join our Talent team in Bain’s London office, working closely with Human Resources colleagues and internal teams across the business. The team supports Bain’s people priorities by delivering high-quality HR services, maintaining strong processes, and helping create a positive employee experience.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Associate, Human Resources, you’ll support the delivery of core HR services across Bain London. This is a junior HR role designed to provide hands-on experience across key HR processes in a fast-paced, professional services environment.
You’ll report to the Specialist, Human Resources, and play an important role in supporting HR operations, immigration and mobility activity, employee lifecycle processes, documentation, data integrity, and day-to-day team coordination.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Support leave processes for the London office, including short-term medical leave and tracking
- Prepare consultant parental leave paperwork and update Workday with relevant dates
- Conduct parental leave briefings for Associate Consultants through Consultants
- Support the parental leave life-cycle for Associate Consultants through Consultants
- Help monitor and track HR metrics and trends where required
- Support updates to the London Employee Handbook
- Assist with employee life-cycle activities, including on-boarding and off-boarding coordination
- Support Workday data integrity checks and transfer-related transactions
- Support HR projects and initiatives, including process improvements, policy updates, and reporting
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation, guides, and internal resources
- Provide general support to the HR team during peak periods
- Support the initiation of client background checks as needed
- Maintain accurate and legally compliant consultant employee files
- Conduct regular audits of London HR files
- Monitor the HR inbox, respond to queries, and escalate where needed
- Help ensure HR intranet pages remain up to date
- Support other areas of the HR function during peak workloads
- Collaborate with the wider HR team to deliver a consistent, high-quality service

You Will Also Support Immigration And Mobility Activities, Including
- Supporting visa application processes for new joiners, transfers, and extensions
- Maintaining accurate records of right-to-work checks and visa expiry dates, escalating issues as needed
- Carrying out right-to-work checks for the London office and ensuring documentation is complete and up to date
- Supporting inbound and outbound transfer processes, including documentation and on-boarding or off-boarding coordination
- Liaising with internal teams and external providers, including immigration advisors and relocation vendors
- Preparing standard immigration letters and documentation, including ILR letters, maintenance letters, business invitation letters, and Schengen visa letters
- Assisting with mobility tracking, including short-term assignments and business travellers
- Supporting the filing of A1 certificates when required
- Helping prepare immigration documentation for mock audits and supporting the closure of any gaps
- Notifying immigration advisors of visa-related changes, including promotions and pay changes
- Maintaining and updating transfer trackers
- Reviewing and coding immigration and mobility-related invoices against quotations, policies, and terms
- Requesting transfer agreements through the online portal
- Supporting mobility programmes as required

About You
You’ll be successful in this role if you bring:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Clear, professional communication skills
- A customer-focused mindset and a high level of discretion
- Comfort working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and databases
- Previous internship or experience in HR, administration, or professional services preferred
This role follows a hybrid working model, with an expectation of working in the office 3–4 days per week, depending on business needs. Standard working hours are 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with reasonable flexibility required, especially during peak periods.
