Overview
At Gallagher, we’re looking for an Investment Consultant to join our team. This is a client-facing and technical role where you’ll work closely with institutional clients, including pension schemes, charities, insurers, and wealth managers. You’ll collaborate with specialists across sustainable investment, asset-liability management, manager research, and transition teams to deliver tailored advice.

We’re committed to helping you grow. You’ll have autonomy to lead key projects, present to clients, and develop your expertise with structured training and support from senior consultants.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Build strong relationships with institutional clients and oversee key investment workstreams.
- Present clear and credible investment advice at Trustee and client board meetings.
- Work with specialists across the business to deliver holistic, tailored advice.
- Monitor client portfolios and ensure investment strategies remain effective.
- Mentor junior team members and share your knowledge to help them grow.
- Support business development by preparing proposals and contributing to new initiatives.
- Engage with the wider industry through thought leadership, blogs, or conferences.
About You
Essential:
- 2–5 years of experience in investment consulting or institutional investment, ideally with UK pension clients.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets and investment strategy.
- Confident communicator who can present to sophisticated clients.
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Desirable:
- CFA, FIA, or equivalent qualification (or working towards one).
- Knowledge of sustainable investment principles.
- Interest in contributing to industry discussions through writing or speaking.
