To meet our client’s complex needs, our regular interaction focusses not only on building and strengthening the client relationship, but also on the strategic direction of their business and how LC can support them in achieving their planned objectives and aspirations. Our clients will typically have a turnover more than £350m and look to the Relationship Team to support them with their complex business needs through tailor made solutions, whilst ensuring we are treating our customers fairly and in the right way. We are currently seeking an organised and experienced individual to join this team in the role of Associate. The Associate is expected to carry out customer research, financial and credit analysis and help the RD prepare for customer meetings, as well as co-ordinate credit applications, or renewals, and risk escalation management. In the absence of the RD and Associate Director, the Associate may be required to act as the focal point for relationship and credit related enquiries. In this role you'll: Act as a key point of contact to customers to provide day to day support Provide support to the Front-Line Team to enable them to meet customer needs Prepare financial proposals, presentations and undertake analysis for both existing and prospective customers, undergoing detailed customer research, financial and credit analysis Support with day-to-day activities including client planning, pipeline management, coordination with product partners Attend client meetings as required Support in monitoring credit risk including concern lists and credit control reports, analysing management information (MI) Work in partnership with other Corporate/Commercial Banking (CMB) teams and product providers to deepen customer relationships and ensure the best possible experience and outcomes for customers, employees and the bank The ideal candidate for this role will have: Commercial Banking experience would be advantageous An understanding of risk management would be beneficial Experience of building and managing relationships would be advantageous An ability to analyse and interpret financial information would be beneficial Experience in the use of HSBC systems i.e CARM/DCP would be advantageous Open to a fast changing and challenging environment, inquisitive and eager to solve problems quickly and in the right way is essential A positive approach to creating new networks, build new relationships and collaborate with other teams, colleagues and businesses is essential The base location for this role is Manchester, with a hybrid working model available. The successful candidate will be required to visit clients across Yorkshire and the north west on occasion, so it is important that you are based within a commutable distance of this area.
