The Role
Coventry University are recruiting an Associate Lecturer in MSc Artificial Intelligence & Human Factors to join our Tutor Services at Coventry University Team at Coventry University Online (CUOL). The CUOL team deliver an innovative, flexible and inclusive online education to a diverse global student community, across our MSc Computer Science Programmes.
In this role you will teach AI and Human Factors at Postgraduate level. Your experience will be in programming and you will be familiar with the latest developments in artificial Intelligence.
The role will focus on facilitating engaging, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning experiences within a module-based online delivery model. You will support students through a range of digital platforms, primarily Aula and Microsoft Teams, whilst contributing to assessment, feedback, and academic support activities.

You will ensure that the teaching provided challenges thinking, encourages debates and develops students’ ability to engaging in critical disclosure and rational thinking. You will also embrace the ethos that online courses champion diversity, whilst ensuring that learning is accessible an to students irrespective of backgrounds and culture.
As well as teaching you will provide of an effective pastoral support system which contributes to an excellent student experience.
This position is ideal for an experienced practitioner with a passion for online education, digital innovation, and widening participation in higher education.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you must hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject.
Our Successful Candidate
- You will have recent experience of teaching in a higher education setting and will be able to evidence an understanding of good/innovative pedagogic practice.
- You will have experience of high quality presentation skills and can demonstrate experience of coaching, mentoring and teaching other professional.
- Experience of using technology to deliver learning support to a large number of students is essential for this role.
