Job Title: Associate Lecturer in MSc Artificial Intelligence & Human Factors (Fixed Term Contract, until 31 August 2027)

This role resides within Coventry University Online (CUOL), a subsidiary dedicated to delivering innovative, flexible, and inclusive online education to a diverse global student community—specifically within our MSc Computer Science Programmes.
The Role: Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Lecturer in MSc Artificial Intelligence & Human Factors, you will:
- Teach at the postgraduate level with expertise in:
- AI development and methodology
- Human Factors in computing and technology
- Advanced programming and emerging AI trends
- Facilitate engaging, inclusive, and rigorous online learning, aligning with next-gen pedagogical practice.
- Deliver module-based online instruction across platforms such as Aula and Microsoft Teams.
- Provide academic support, feedback, and assessment expertise, ensuring:
- Critical thinking and rational inquiry are cultivated in students
- Debates and collaborative learning are fostered in an ethos of diversity and accessibility
- Learning is culturally sensitive and inclusive for all backgrounds
- Build and maintain an effective pastoral support system to enhance student experience.
- Research emerging technologies and share insights with colleagues in AI and education.

Requirements
Qualifications
Must hold a Master’s degree in either Computer Science or a subject allied to this role.
Candidates Selected Will Have:
- Recent experience teaching or research in higher education with a proven ability to integrate innovative pedagogic strategies.
- A demonstrable track record of:
- High-quality oral and digital presentation skills.
- Coaching, mentoring, and peer professional development in an academic setting.
- Expertise in using educational technology (LMS systems, collaboration tools) to support a large cohort efficiently.
- Familiarity with AI tools and methodologies relevant to curriculum development.
