Associate Lecturer in Creative Computing

Compensation: £20.10 per hour (a multiplier of 2.5 may be applied depending on the work offered)


Description

We are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic educators to support learning within the Creative Computing courses at Bath Spa University. The individual(s) will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and assessment of modules focused on subjects within the field of Creative Computing and/or similar subject areas.


About the Role

The successful candidate(s) will play an important role in developing the knowledge and skills of students. They will work as part of the computing team to provide mentorship, deliver teaching through meaningful and engaging sessions, administer robust assessment, and ensure student experience is high quality and informed by industry.

About You

You will have experience in delivering and leading teaching and learning in a Further and/or Higher Education institution in similar subjects. We expect that as a Creative Computing specialist, you will be actively engaged in related practice and able to translate your professional interests into the teaching and learning practices on the course.

You will ideally have additional industry, consulting, and/or teaching experience using a range of modern tools and technologies, as well as the ability to quickly learn new ones.

You will have a degree in a relevant discipline, and you may have, or be working towards, a post graduate qualification. Development experience in the private sector in commercial environments is a bonus.
