About the Role
Chichester College (part of the Chichester College Group) is recruiting a bank of Associate Lecturers to deliver GCSE Maths, engaging with a diverse range of learners. This role is ideal for passionate educators looking to share their expertise in key GCSE Mathematics qualifications and inspire learners while maintaining flexibility around their current commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach GCSE Maths, covering the Edexcel, AQA, and OCR (and any other relevant exam boards) syllabus
- Develop and deliver engaging, inclusive lesson plans tailored to students of varied abilities
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence in numeracy and mathematical reasoning
- Engage with learners to support their progress and help them achieve their potential
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and student engagement
- Collaborate with subject specialists and contribute to tailored teaching strategies, including enrichment activities
Requirements
- Relevant Maths qualification (e.g. A-Level, degree in Maths, or equivalent) or strong GCSE Maths teaching experience
- Experience delivering GCSE Maths (ideal, but not mandatory for those with strong subject knowledge)
- Passion for teaching and an ability to inspire learner-centred learning
- Flexibility to adapt to students’ needs and varied learning styles
- Commitment to supporting student success and the college’s mission
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance (additional checks may apply)
- Ability to work without guarantee of minimum hours
