Job Title: Associate Lecturer or Assessor in Gas - Sessional
Location: North Harbour Campus
Salary: Actual Salary Pro-Rata, £30,248.30 - £44,298.68 Full Time Equivalent per annum
Hours of work: up to 35 hours per week (inclusive of teaching and prep time), up to 52 weeks per year, Sessional/Variable Hours Contract

About the role:
Our recently refurbished ACS Gas Centre is within the college construction and building services centre of excellence at North Harbour Campus Portsmouth.
We provide high quality domestic gas training and assessments to engineers, either looking to renew their current ACS qualifications or extend scope. We deliver all courses covering the range of gas and plumbing required by Gas / heating engineers. We also train completely new entrants to the UK gas industry.
We are looking to recruit a Sessional Lecturer/Assessor in Gas to support the existing team to deliver these courses.
Please note, this is a Sessional post and has no guaranteed hours attached to it.
Key Responsibilities:
To teach on a range of programmes, providing high-quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives. To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement, and success. To contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include: Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

L3 Certificate in Gas / Heating / Plumbing Relevant skills / gas industry experience Hold valid ACS Gas qualifications required for Gas Safe Registration. Assessing / Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards Ability to meet targets within set timescales Ability to work well in a team, but also to work independently
