The Role
Reporting to the EU Supervisor, you will support a wide range of operational, financial, and continuous improvement initiatives across the EU Logistics Team. Working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs), you will play an important role in ensuring smooth and efficient logistics processes.
You will also act as a key support to the EU Supervisor, providing cover when needed and helping to maintain high standards of service delivery. Strong communication skills, the ability to influence others, and a talent for building effective working relationships will be essential to thriving in this role.
Your Impact
- Manage day-to-day samples shipping, supporting internal and external stakeholders to ensure samples are controlled and managed to KPIs
- Develop positive working relationships with Origin, Global, and EMEA teams for ongoing partnerships
- Support and control invoicing, supervise billing accuracy, and ensure timely payment authorisation
- Compile, collate, and review reports to support strategic review and long-term improvement
- Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness in samples freight shipping
- Support automation implementations involving sample processes
- Raise, receive, amend, and close invoice POs; review samples invoices and manage PO processing; resolve invoice queries
- Monitor OTIF performance for sample freight and gather feedback from internal and external customers
- Complete projects and tasks successfully, contributing to self and team development
- Perform root cause analysis to improve efficiency and solve recurring issues
- Establish and maintain high-quality service standards for subsidiary and distributor sample shipments
- Work closely with freight forwarders and courier logistics service providers
- Demonstrate excellent organisational and administrative skills, effective prioritization, and adaptability to change
- Appreciate the value of reporting and AI tools to enhance processes and present strategic reviews to management
- Drive continuous improvement in service and efficiency, working collaboratively and inclusively

Who You Are
- Knowledgeable in freight forwarding and supply chain processes; sample-specific knowledge preferred
- Strong, independent thinker, capable of establishing trust and confidence
- Detail-oriented with a flexible attitude to supporting the operations team
- Enthusiastic about technology, AI, and root cause identification
- Understands SLA and KPI structures
- Able to produce material for all levels of the business, including senior management, customers, and vendors
- Skilled at influencing and communicating internally
- Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experienced in forwarding, logistics, or supply chain organisations
- Experienced in using Oracle software systems

- Experience in supply chain, logistics, or freight forwarding environments
- Familiarity with sample management processes and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners
- Experience with automation and process improvement projects
- Comfort with reporting tools and business intelligence systems
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
