About the Role
The Community Team is responsible for player engagement across community channels, including content creation and gathering insights. The Associate Manager, Community Team, oversees the daily operations of a team of Community Managers working on an assigned portfolio of games. This role supports the Community team by managing the growth, development, and performance of the assigned Community Managers, while also contributing to transversal and game-specific projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Support the Portfolio Lead in managing the daily operations of the Community team for an assigned portfolio of games.
- Provide recommendations on process and performance improvements, ensuring operational excellence.
- Lead a team of Community Managers, including:
- Day-to-day supervision
- Review of work activity and results
- Performance management
- Coach the team by assessing strengths and development needs, delivering timely feedback, and creating improvement and training plans.
- Drive innovation and solution-driven thinking to develop autonomy and growth among Community Managers.
- Develop and maintain best practices and initiatives for player community support, including:
- Content production standards
- Quality benchmarks
- Team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Incorporate leadership directives, global processes, and best practices (shared by the Social Media Manager) into team training and operational standards.
- Manage team resources, workload, staffing, and allocations to align with business objectives.
- Review annual employee feedback surveys and collaborate with the Portfolio Lead to address key pain points.
- Develop and nurture relationships with partner teams across:
- Community & Social
- Player Support
- Frontline

- Manage Community Managers in the Community Department, overseeing their direction, coordination, and evaluation.

Requirements
Experience
A strong candidate will have:
- Experience managing and supervising teams, including (but not limited to):
- Hiring
- Performance appraisals
- Coaching
- Disciplinary responsibilities
- A background in community management or social media, with the ability to:
- Develop best practices
- Set quality standards
- Establish KPIs for player-facing teams
- Experience collaborating with partner teams (e.g., Social, Player Support, Frontline) to implement leadership projects.
- Ability to manage workload allocation, staffing, and resources while driving process improvements.
- Intermediate experience in community management or a similar role.
- A track record of leading diverse, distributed teams is highly valued.
Familiarity with Platforms
- Proficiency in understanding social media channels, live streams, and YouTube.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior experience in the video games industry is a strong bonus.
