Associate Manager, VAT Advisory

The Role Join us in our VAT team and become an instrumental force in shaping our clients' financial success. Your role will encompass not only navigating client through the nuances of VAT with a view to also providing strategic advice across various VAT facets. Key Responsibilities: Managing and delivering high-quality VAT advisory services to clients, ensuring timely and accurate responses to their VAT queries Providing technical VAT support to senior management and partners on complex VAT issues Acting as a key contact for clients, building and maintaining strong client relationships Reviewing and supervising work carried out by junior members of the VAT team Providing tailored VAT advice to clients on areas such as VAT planning, and VAT risk management Staying updated on developments in VAT legislation and identifying potential opportunities or risks for clients Supporting business development initiatives by identifying potential opportunities to cross-sell VAT services Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience: ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification or equivalent (or currently working towards this) Extensive experience working within VAT advisory in a professional services firm Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT legislation, rules, and regulations Experience managing VAT advisory projects and working with complex VAT issues across various sectors Proven track record of delivering VAT services to clients, including managing a portfolio of clients Experience working with large corporate clients, SMEs, or within specialist industries (e.g., financial services, real estate) High level of IT literacy, including Excel, Word, and VAT reporting software Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-specialists Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

The Nitty Gritty Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based) Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday Flexible working and happy employees are at the top of our list here at Gravita and we have been working hard to support our teams through the fast-paced changes.
