The Position
The Associate Marketing Director is accountable for the commercial regional marketing strategy and enhance product leadership of Veracyte’s IVD oncology portfolio internationally. This role combines regional commercial ownership driving adoption and localization of global marketing messaging across markets with the purpose of growing the brands, increasing adoption and establish production leadership across regions. The role acts as the key bridge between global strategy and regional strategic execution, while representing the voice of the customer, market, and business in product development and commercialization decisions.
This position is based in EMEA, with a strong preference for candidates based in UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.
Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with Global Marketing Teams, define and own the international IVD regional marketing strategy by product, segment, and geography; translate market dynamics and customer insights into strategic direction and execution priorities; identify opportunities, barriers, and competitive positioning.
- Contribute to product lifecycle management providing input to the global marketing team for feature prioritization, concept development, testing, and continuous product improvement; to ensure alignment between product evolution and market needs.
- Provide input to the global marketing team and/or other cross-functional development forums to ensure alignment with the international team for complete customer and technical requirements for product development and represent customer, and regional business perspectives.
- In collaboration with Global Marketing teams, lead our regional Voice of Customer (VoC) initiatives including qualitative and quantitative research, market assessment, and competitive intelligence; translate insights into strategy, messaging, and product improvements.
- Lead multi-channel operational marketing execution including regional campaign planning and work cross-functionally with global communications teams for campaign development, digital marketing, and content creation across the region in sync with our global marketing messaging.
- Oversee content governance including creation, local approval processes, version control, compliance, and scientific accuracy; ensure adherence to IVD/IVDR standards.
- Determine the regional strategy of key events and congresses to participate across geographies in coordination with the Global Meeting & Events team for the planning, execution and post-event management, ensuring strong external visibility and compliant scientific positioning.
- Deliver high-impact sales enablement tools, in coordination with Global Marketing, to localize and develop impactful regional messaging frameworks, training materials, objection handling, and field support programs.
- Drive Prosigna growth and demand generation while leading NGS strategic transition regional programs including segmentation, targeting, customer conversion programs, education initiatives, and performance tracking.
- In collaboration with Decipher global marketing team, define and execute international IVD launch roadmap including positioning, segmentation, messaging architecture, and full commercial readiness (tools, training, infrastructure).
- Partner closely with Sales to drive demand generation, pipeline growth, and field execution excellence; ensure strong collaboration and execution cadence.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations on forecasting, planning, and performance tracking; ensure alignment on business targets and operational assumptions.
- Own IVD sales and marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources with strong ROI discipline and performance measurement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and internal policies; maintain highest standards of business integrity and scientific credibility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key physicians, KOLs, and scientific stakeholders; leverage insights to refine strategy, strengthen market positioning, and support long-term growth.
- Lead IVD international distributor commercial and marketing strategy as a lever for geographic expansion in alignment with IVD regional and global objectives.

Who You Are
- 10+ years of marketing experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or biotech.
- Proven experience in both strategic marketing leadership and operational execution.
- Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management, product development support, and commercialization.
- Experience working effectively in complex matrix organizations.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong understanding of oncology diagnostics and EMEA healthcare market dynamics.
- Experience supporting platform transitions (e.g., NGS or technology migration).
- Knowledge of IVD/IVDR regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience in product launches and commercialization strategies within diagnostics or biotech.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
- Customer-centric mindset with strong Voice of Customer integration.
- Expertise in digital marketing and data-driven performance optimization.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, complex, and evolving environments.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and execution discipline.
