Entry Level - Medical Device Sales Role

Outline

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a clinical background who would like to start a career in Medical Device Sales. Ideal for a graduate of a clinical training program, such as Physician Associate or Operation Department Practitioner study. Human Sciences undergraduates with some in theatre exposure will also be considered but time in theatre is essential.

The Role

This is a great entry-level sales opportunity for someone with a Physician Associate or Operation Department Practitioner background to get into medical device sales.

  • Fantastic initial onboarding and training, along with continued development throughout your rewarding career!
  • Covering a territory that includes the southern home counties, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and Hampshire but also supporting colleagues a bit further afield as well.
  • Working across a range of private and NHS hospital settings, you will become a true subject matter expert in the product range, allowing you to be a trusted advisor to clinicians across your territory.
  • Representing the company range of soft tissue repair products, you will be working across various surgical areas; including GI, Ab, thoracic, and breast, working closely with the Regional Sales Manager to develop yourself in the medical device sales industry.
  • Completing training modules, attending various training and CPD events, working towards your promotion to Territory Manager, and beyond.
  • Shadowing team members, including clinical staff, and working closely with senior people to build on your training and development in sales and clinical understanding of the products.
  • Contributing to the regional sales targets by supporting other members of the sales team.
  • Attending regional and national sales meetings, along with exhibitions around the UK or internationally.
  • This role progresses from Associate and beyond, which also comes with increases in basic salary and bonus schemes!

Package

  • Basic salary: Up to £35k basic*
  • Year 1 bonus scheme (£12k but uncapped and people have done a decent amount over that)

The Ideal Person

  • You'll need a BSc or equivalent in a Human Sciences-based degree with a 2:1 or above, and you will need to be a Physician Associate, Operation Department Practitioner, Scrub Nurse, etc. study (theatre exposure is essential!)
  • Human Sciences undergraduates with some decent in theatre exposure will also be considered, but you will need to be pretty stand out!
  • Clinical staff without a degree, who have a very good understanding of human anatomy and physiology, and decent amounts of time in theatre would also be strongly considered for this role!
  • It's essential that you have an outgoing personality and excellent people skills; they’re vital for this career path.
  • You must be living in the Reigate, Guildford, Crawley, Farnborough, Ascot, Teddington, Kingston, Richmond, Epsom, Cobham, kinds of area (or the bits between)
  • You will need a full UK driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK essential – no sponsorship available (sorry)
