Operations at BAM is a global team, with team members spread around the world. This role will sit within the EU Listed Middle office team based in London. Candidate profile: Analytical, diligent and detail-oriented Operations professional Thrives in a fast-paced environment Keen to learn and develop Positive “can do” attitude Effective team-player that can also work independently, able to analyse problems and find solutions Confident in front of portfolio managers, traders, and other internal teams; able to communicate ideas clearly even while under pressure Excellent communication and time management skills Ability to multi-task and prioritise the most urgent issues Able to challenge established processes and suggest new ways of working 2-3 years of trade support / middle office experience at a hedge fund or a bank Understanding of the full equity and equity swaps trade lifecycle Understanding of all major mandatory and voluntary corporate action types Asset class knowledge of Equities, Equity swaps, Options and Futures Keen to take part in project work alongside BAU and help integrate new technology as it becomes available Experience with CTM, Harmony (Traiana) and Bloomberg would be a plus

Responsibilities: Work closely with the global trading desks and portfolio managers across various Equity strategies – first point of contact for resolution of queries Resolve issues by applying deep understanding of the firm’s trade capture systems, trade management processes, and available reporting tools Perform daily cash, position and trade break reconciliations with brokers, prime brokers and other third parties Monitor P&L and position exposure and provide resolutions to any requests from internal stakeholders Understand the front-to-back operational processes and be able to identify and drive process improvement opportunities to eliminate errors and save time spent on manual tasks Maintain relationships with executing brokers, prime brokers, fund admins and other counterparties
