St Peter’s is a flourishing parish of around five hundred people across four church families with a passion to see everyone fulfil their God-given potential as disciples of Jesus Christ. We are looking for someone with a heart for God and a love of people, who is Spirit-led, immersed in prayer and rooted in the Bible.
We Are Longing For Someone To Help Nurture, Shape And Lead The Growth We Believe God Wants To Give
In particular, we are looking for someone to grow:
- servant leaders as part of a church family where everyone is called to serve.
- our network of small groups so that everyone can learn and grow in faith together as a disciple of Jesus.
- our prayer ministry so that it becomes a movement that underpins all that we do and are.
- our pastoral ministries so that everyone is cared for and loved.
- our mission to transform our town in Jesus’ name, working with a wide range of partners to build God’s kingdom in Bolton.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
