Our Client
Our client, an Investor in/Developer of core infrastructure assets, is seeking an Associate Director to lead the commercial structuring of purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) developments within a project finance/DBFO structure.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in bid team and be responsible for all deliverables and submission of a competitive tender response
- Build senior level relationships with key partners (client, capital or contractors)
- Leading the management of risk allocation situations and issues between contractors, client and capital
- Playing a key role as a member of the Origination team on the structuring, identification and origination of suitable student accommodation project financing transactions
- Negotiating complex project agreements and subcontracts for student accommodation and related property transactions
- Managing transactions through the due diligence, structuring, credit and documentation stages
- Responsible for assisting in the development and prosecution of market development engagement strategies in allocated sectors or regions
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in the student accommodation sector, including ongoing changes to the planning and regulatory environment

- Robust experience in the full life-cycle of student accommodation projects
- Strong experience with Project Finance/DBFO structures
- Demonstrated deal execution ability
- Specific experience in risk allocation, student accommodation and PBSA bid and closing processes
- Understanding of financial structures and commonly used debt and equity instruments in PBSA
- Direct exposure to negotiation of contracts and/or experience with originating and closing transactions
- Ability to understand (not build) financial models
