Preferred locations:

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Data, AI, or (Re)insurance are advantageous but not required
- At least 10 years of experience in transformation roles across management consulting, insurance, reinsurance or Insurtech, with meaningful exposure to either P&C reinsurance or commercial insurance.
- Hands-on experience in Data, Analytics, GenAI or Agentic AI initiatives, including strategy, future-state design, requirements, architecture implications and delivery support.
- Demonstrated passion for experimenting with GenAI and Agentic operations in insurance, including the ability to turn emerging ideas into practical use cases, delivery assets and client-ready narratives.
- Track record of capability building, proposition development, mentoring and knowledge sharing; experience supporting proposals is useful, but personal relationship origination and deal closure are not primary requirements.
- Distinct know-how in the selected domain, covering process, operating model, information architecture and core systems implications.
- Business and data architect profile with strong data literacy and the ability to create and communicate future-state designs for how (Re)insurance operations will work in a Data, GenAI and Agentic environment.
- Extensive experience advising executive leadership teams and C-level stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Structured, precise in documentation, intellectually honest, and able to challenge senior stakeholders politely but directly.
- Comfortable engaging with senior client stakeholders, synthesising complex topics on the spot and translating technical concepts into compelling business narratives.
- Outstanding communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English; German is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities
As the (Re)insurance Data & AI Lead, you will advise leading commercial insurers and reinsurers on how to leverage Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to transform their businesses. You will work directly with C-level executives and business leaders to define future operating models, modernise core business capabilities and unlock measurable business value through AI-enabled transformation.
Beyond client delivery, you will play a key role in growing Synpulse's global Data & AI practice by developing new consulting offerings, building strategic client relationships and mentoring the next generation of consulting leaders. Combining deep (re)insurance expertise with Data, GenAI and AI-enabled business transformation, you will help clients redesign future operating models and realise measurable business value.
Executive Advisory
- Advise executive leadership teams on AI, Data and business transformation strategies.
- Shape client future operating models and AI-enabled business capabilities and support them in defining long-term transformation agendas.
- Challenge client and internal assumptions where needed, bringing a clear, evidence-based view of what future insurance operations should look like and what needs to change to get there.

Transformation Leadership
- Lead complex AI, Data and business transformation programmes, from strategy through successful implementation.
- Drive measurable business outcomes across underwriting, claims, operations and distribution.
- Stay visibly ahead of Data, GenAI and Agentic trends and translate them into practical Synpulse points of view, offerings and delivery methods.
People & Practice Leadership
- Further expand Synpulse's Data & AI consulting capabilities in commercial insurance and P&C reinsurance by acting as a catalyst for internal consulting transformation, helping our teams build the skills, tools, and confidence to advise clients.
- Serve as a conduit and lead liaison to Synpulse8, our engineering and technology unit.
- Build, mentor and inspire high-performing consulting teams and foster an AI-first consulting culture across international teams.
- Translate market trends into client-centric solutions in the form of innovative consulting offerings, frameworks and reusable assets.
- Strengthen Synpulse's market positioning in AI and (Re)insurance.
Commercial Contribution
- Bring distinctive subject-matter expertise into qualified sales conversations led by market-facing colleagues.
- Drive business development and identify new consulting opportunities.
- Lead proposal development and executive client pitches.
- Contribute to revenue growth across the Insurance Practice.
