Senior Researcher – Research and Insights Team

About the Role
Cluttons is looking for an experienced property research professional to join our Research and Insights team. This is an opportunity to:
- Shape market commentary and deliver evidence-based research
- Support client engagement across commercial real estate sectors
- Work with data-driven and AI tools to enhance analytical outputs
You’ll have the option to be considered for Partner status, or a flexible contract (full-time or part-time: 4 days/week), depending on your preference and experience.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Researcher, reporting to the Head of Research & Insight, your key priorities will include:
- Producing high-quality market reports, presentations, and client briefings for internal and external audiences
- Analysing commercial property data (macro trends, sector updates, economic/jurisdictional implications) to produce clear, actionable insights
- Supporting commercial services across Cluttons with specialist research to inform client strategies
- Developing new research products (e.g., bespoke sector reports, thematic research, or deeper dives into key cities/markets)
- Acting as macro-economic/policy interpreter to brief Commercial Leadership on market implications
- Providing expert commentary on market trends and contributing to public-facing thought leadership (media, events, content campaigns)
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance client events, advisory sessions, and competitive projects
- Embedding data-driven and AI-assisted methodologies to improve research efficiency and outputs

Requirements
Essential
-
Hand-on experience in property research, with deep knowledge of commercial property markets, valuations, or related specialisms

Strong track record in:
- Market analysis & data interpretation
- Writing published reports/articles (external and bespoke)
- Presenting findings to senior management, clients, and external audiences

Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills

Proficiency in MS Excel and comfort with PowerPoint/Word

Insightful yet pragmatic approach – turning complex data into accessible, radical, and rigorous content

Essential – willingness to

Travel along with trusted reputation for advisory/service excellence
Preferred
- Experience with commercial real estate databases (e.g., Savills, Colliers, JLL platforms)
- Working knowledge of AI tools to enhance research workflows
- Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, CERA, or insurance sector accreditations welcome)
- Agile working and ability to handle project demands with clarity while prioritising meaningful client value
