Associate Product Manager

About Vortexa

Vortexa was founded to solve the immense information gap that exists in the energy industry. By using massive amounts of new satellite data and pioneering work in artificial intelligence, Vortexa creates an unprecedented view of the global seaborne energy flows in real-time, bringing transparency and efficiency to the energy markets and society as a whole.

The Challenge

Ingesting thousands of rich data points per second from multiple external and vastly different sources, moving terabytes of data while processing it in real-time, and running complex AI models that coupled their output with a hybrid human-machine refinement process—all while presenting results through a nimble, low-latency SaaS platform—demands groundbreaking science and engineering.

Successfully addressing the intricate questions posed by traders, analysts, charterers, hedge funds, and other global oil trade market participants relies on sophistication and effort. The mission becomes one of ensuring questions are asked and answered efficiently, prioritised for customer delight.

Vortexa delivers high-quality data and market predictions through intuitive analytics platforms—governed by AI-driven front-end applications, APIs, and SDKs. The Product Management team leads collaborative product discovery and delivery, aligning efforts with stakeholders to build products that are valuable, usable, technically feasible, and commercially viable.

Each project ensures clarity over vision, strategy, and roadmap—balancing scope against KPIs and market impact.

The Role

You’ll join Vortexa as a Product Manager, reporting to the Head of Product Strategy, with cross-functional interfaces across the organization.

You Will:

  • Execute and refine the product roadmap for flows and onshore inventory products (covering crude and refined products), aligned with overarching product vision and strategy.
  • Continuously identify and prioritise customer problems while refining product ideas, ensuring high-value focus areas impact the business objectives.
  • Leverage AI tools to unify quantitative analytics, qualitative customer feedback, competitor insights, and industry trends—speeding the product lifecycle from ideation to rapid prototyping, development, and post-launch growth.
  • Lead rapid product discovery and low-fidelity prototyping, gathering feedback with subject-matter experts, customers, and prospects to refine features.
  • Own success metrics and KPIs, detecting wins and misses, and recommending optimisations or strategic pivots to enhance effectiveness.
  • Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities, collaborating with technical product managers and engineers to address obstacles promptly and shepherd products to release.
  • Ensemble with design, engineering, product marketing, and customer success to streamline timely launches of products, features, and improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
