Job Overview

AXA Commercial are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Associate Product Owner to support the successful delivery of innovative solutions. Working closely with the Product Owner and cross-functional squads, you'll help facilitate the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives, bridging the gap between business and technical teams to ensure smooth, continuous improvement aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and squads to shape user stories, manage backlog items and oversee iterative delivery that adds value.
  • Work with stakeholders, users, and SMEs to refine requirements and develop clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement and delivery activities, working closely with developers, designers and testers.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and serve as a key link between business and technology teams.
  • Track progress, identify blockers and escalate risks or issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to product documentation, user testing and release activities for smooth deployments.
  • Use user feedback and metrics to support continuous product improvement and prioritisation.
  • Communicate dependencies, manage priorities and document key decisions, risks and assumptions for transparency.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of product delivery or business analysis roles, ideally within agile teams.
  • Effective organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • An understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban and experience creating user stories.
  • A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn, contribute and support delivery outcomes.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar is desirable.
  • A background or interest in insurance, customer service, or digital transformation is a plus.
