We are seeking an Associate Production Manager to join our Operations team at our largest UK campus in Macclesfield. This is a 9-5 Mon-Fri office-based role (no shifts required).
Accountabilities
As an Associate Production Manager, you will:
- Work alongside experienced Production Managers, gaining hands-on expertise in critical manufacturing processes:
- Formulation
- Manufacturing
- Filling (sterile and non-sterile)
- Packaging
- Provide support for deviation management and Manufacturing Excellence initiatives.
- Ensure day-to-day process compliance across multiple dimensions:
- Plan adherence
- Operational standards
- Cost management
- Asset maintenance
- Regulatory compliance (cGMP)
- Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

Essential Skills & Experience
- GMP manufacturing experience (essential).
- Science/Engineering degree OR equivalent practical experience.
- Passion for learning coaching/leadership—demonstrated commitment to personal/professional growth.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset with problem-solving experience.
- Proven ability to:
- Contribute effectively AND-lead others in teams, projects, or improvement work (matrix environments).
- Actively develop self via training, mentorship, or experience.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) expertise.
- Regulatory conveyance: Experience with FDA, cGMP or analogous quality systems.
- High compliance environments: Clean/sterile processing experience.
- Pharmaceutical operational roles (ideally Chemistry or Microbiology).
- Leadership and people development experience.
- Digital proficiency: Familiarity with systems/software to monitor and improve process performance.
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing processes.
